Stove & Range Removal — Curbside Pickup When Disconnected

GoGarbageGrabber removes and recycles residential stoves, ranges, and ovens with safety and care. We offer free curbside pickup when units are fully disconnected (unplugged for electric units or professionally disconnected and capped for gas units) and placed at the agreed pickup location. If your stove requires carry‑out from inside the home, heavy lifting, or special handling, choose our in‑home removal option for an additional fee. IMPORTANT: we do not perform gas, electrical, or permanent utility disconnection — those must be completed by a licensed technician before pickup.

What’s included

  • Curbside pickup (no extra cost): We collect stoves and ranges that are safely disconnected and placed at the agreed curb/driveway location.
  • In‑home removal (optional fee): We can carry disconnected units out of the home for an added charge — select this option at checkout and include details/photos if stairs, narrow doorways, or heavy lifting are involved.
  • Safe handling: Crews use appropriate two‑person lifts, straps, and protective blankets for large ranges to protect your property and the appliance.
  • Responsible processing: Units are evaluated for reuse or routed to authorized recycling/disposal facilities per local regulations.
  • Documentation: Disposal/recycling receipts available on request for records or business needs.

How to prepare your stove or range

  • Electric stoves: unplug the unit from the outlet or have the circuit breaker switched off and the unit disconnected by a qualified electrician. Ensure the power cord is removed/coiled and accessible.
  • Gas stoves: have a licensed plumber/technician shut off the gas, disconnect the line, and cap it as required by code before scheduling pickup; do not attempt to disconnect gas yourself.
  • Remove burners, grates, racks, and any loose parts you wish to keep; bag small hardware together and label it.
  • Clean out food debris and ensure the oven and broiler compartments are dry and free of loose items.
  • For cooktops or built‑in ranges: these often require professional uninstallation or countertop work — schedule professional disconnection and request prior approval from our support team before booking pickup.
  • Place the disconnected unit at the agreed curb/driveway pickup point prior to the scheduled window. We will not enter homes or disconnect utilities unless you purchased in‑home removal and provided prior authorization for that service.

Accepted & not accepted

  • Accepted: Freestanding electric and gas stoves/ranges and wall ovens that have been safely disconnected and are ready at curbside.
  • May require prior approval: Slide‑in ranges, built‑in ovens, cooktops, commercial ranges, or units integrated with countertops or cabinetry — these typically require professional uninstallation and a custom quote.
  • Not accepted: Units still connected to gas or electrical service, appliances with active gas leaks, items containing hazardous contamination, or commercial equipment without prior arrangement. We will not disconnect gas or hardwired electrical connections.

Scheduling & pricing

  • Pricing: flat fee per unit or bundled pricing for multiple appliances — see the product page for exact fees. Oversize or extra handling fees may apply.
  • Free curbside pickup when units are professionally disconnected and placed at the agreed pickup location.
  • In‑home removal available for an additional fee to carry disconnected units out of the property — add during booking and provide photos for an accurate quote.
  • Same‑day/next‑day pickup may be available depending on route capacity and your location.

Safety & legal note: Gas and hardwired electrical connections must be disconnected by licensed professionals in accordance with local codes. Do not attempt to disconnect gas lines or hardwired electrical connections yourself. If you’re unsure whether your stove is ready for pickup, upload a photo during booking or contact our support team for guidance.
