Recliner Removal & Recycling — Curbside Collection

GoGarbageGrabber collects recliners and upholstered chairs for donation, reuse, or recycling. We provide free curbside pickup when items are placed at the agreed pickup location. If the recliner is inside, on an upper floor, or requires carrying through tight spaces or stairs, select our in‑home removal option for an additional fee. We do not accept drop‑offs.

What’s included

• Curbside pickup (no extra cost): Place the recliner at the agreed curb/driveway location and our crew will collect it during the scheduled window.
• In‑home removal (optional fee): We can carry recliners out of the home for an added charge — choose this at checkout and include photos/details if stairs, narrow doorways, or tight turns are involved.
• Responsible processing: Items are evaluated for donation or recycling; salvageable pieces are routed for reuse and others are sent to approved recycling/disposal facilities.
• Documentation: Pickup or disposal receipts available on request for records or business needs.

How to prepare your recliner

• Remove pillows, loose cushions, and any personal items. Secure or bag loose parts (removable covers, cushions) together.
• If possible, remove batteries from motorized reclining mechanisms and tape or secure loose wiring — we do not perform electrical disconnection or repairs.
• For power recliners: unplug the unit and ensure any power cords are detached and coiled; indicate in the booking notes that the unit is motorized.
• Wrap the recliner in a blanket or mattress bag to contain dust and protect fabric during transport.
• Place the prepared recliner at the agreed pickup point prior to the scheduled window. We will not enter homes, porches, or balconies unless in‑home removal is purchased.

Accepted & not accepted

• Accepted: Manual and power recliners, upholstered chairs, and similar lounge seating that are dry, non‑infested, and safe for two‑person handling.
• May require extra fee or prior approval: Very heavy, oversized, or antique recliners that need a two+ person carry, disassembly, or special equipment; motorized units on upper floors with long carries may incur additional charges.
• Not accepted: Severely water‑damaged, moldy, or visibly pest‑infested (bedbugs) recliners without prior arrangement; items contaminated with hazardous materials or requiring pest remediation. We also do not accept drop‑offs.

Scheduling & pricing

• Flat rate per item or bundled pricing for multiple pieces — see the product page for exact fees. Oversize/extra handling fees may apply.
• Free curbside pickup when the recliner is prepared and placed at the agreed pickup location.
• In‑home removal available for an additional fee based on access, stairs, and labor — add during booking and include photos for the most accurate quote.
• Same‑day/next‑day pickup may be available depending on route capacity and your location.

Note: We do not perform repairs, electrical disconnection, pest remediation, or deep cleaning. If your recliner contains motors or batteries, unplug and remove/secure batteries if possible. If unsure whether your recliner qualifies, upload photos during booking or contact our support team for a quick assessment. Pickup receipts available on request.
