Description
Printer Removal & Recycling — Curbside Pickup When Unplugged and Cleared
GoGarbageGrabber collects and recycles printers and small office imaging equipment with an emphasis on data security and eco‑friendly processing. We offer free curbside pickup when printers are unplugged, emptied of paper, and placed at the agreed pickup location. If you need the printer carried out from inside the home or office, choose our in‑home removal option for an additional fee. IMPORTANT: we do not perform electrical, network, or permanent disconnection — units must be unplugged and ready to move.
What’s included
- Curbside pickup (no extra cost): We collect unplugged printers placed at the agreed curb/driveway location.
- In‑home removal (optional fee): Our crew will carry unplugged printers out of the home or office for an added charge; we will not uninstall network cabling, remove built‑in storage, or perform technical disassembly.
- Responsible recycling: Collected units are processed at authorized e‑waste facilities where components and materials are recycled per local regulations.
- Documentation: Recycling/disposal receipts available on request for business or record‑keeping needs.
How to prepare your printer
- Unplug the printer from power and remove any network or USB cables. Ensure it is fully powered off.
- Remove paper, toner/ink cartridges, drum units, and any loose parts. Keep cartridges you wish to retain — many recycling partners require cartridges removed.
- Empty all paper trays and remove memory cards or USB drives.
- If the printer contains a hard drive or stores documents (common in multifunction devices), perform a factory reset or remove/secure the storage device to protect sensitive data before pickup.
- Place the printer at the agreed curb/driveway pickup point prior to the scheduled window for free curbside service.
Accepted & not accepted
- Accepted: Home and small office inkjet, laser, and all‑in‑one printers, small multifunction devices, and desktop scanners that are unplugged and cleared of paper/consumables.
- May require prior arrangement: Large multifunction copier/printer systems or devices with integrated server/storage — contact us with photos for an assessment.
- Not accepted: Units contaminated with hazardous chemicals, devices with unknown hazardous modifications, or equipment containing loose hazardous waste (e.g., fuel, solvents). We also do not accept units that are still hardwired or mounted and require professional disconnect.
Scheduling & pricing
- Flat fee per item or bundled pricing options shown on the product page.
- Free curbside pickup when the printer is unplugged and placed at the agreed pickup location.
- In‑home removal available for an additional fee to carry unplugged devices out of the home or office — select during booking.

Privacy & safety note: Printers and multifunction devices can retain copies of printed/scanned documents on internal storage. For your privacy, perform a factory reset or remove storage devices prior to pickup. Our crews will not attempt data extraction or drive removal.
Need help? If you’re unsure whether your printer qualifies (large office systems, unknown storage, or heavy equipment), upload a photo during booking or contact our support team for a quick assessment. Recycling receipts are available on request.
