Organic Waste Pickup — Food Scraps & Yard/Green Waste

Keep your food scraps and yard waste out of the landfill — GoGarbageGrabber collects organic waste for composting and responsible processing. We provide free curbside pickup when materials are placed in approved containers or compostable bags at the agreed pickup point. If your items are inside, difficult to access, or you need help carrying heavy bundles, select our in‑home removal option for an additional fee. We do not accept customer drop‑offs.

What’s included

• Curbside pickup (no extra cost): We collect eligible organic waste placed at the agreed curb/driveway location in approved bins or compostable bags.
• In‑home removal (additional fee): Our crew can carry out heavy or bulky bundles for a fee — choose this option at checkout and provide details/photos if possible.
• Responsible processing: Collected materials are sent to licensed composting or organics processing facilities to be turned into compost or otherwise diverted from landfill.
• Documentation: Pickup receipts available on request for composting credits, business records, or reporting.

How to prepare your organic waste

• Use approved rigid bins or compostable bags (check product page for acceptable container types). Do not use standard plastic grocery bags unless they are certified compostable.
• Place small branches and prunings bundled (tie with twine) and cut to the length specified on the product page (typical limit: 4 ft). Keep branch diameter under the listed maximum (typical: 4 inches).
• Freeze or double‑bag particularly odorous food scraps if pickup will be delayed to reduce pests and leakage.
• Keep materials dry where possible; do not place free liquids in bags or bins.
• Place your prepared bins/bundles at the agreed pickup point prior to the scheduled window.

Accepted & not accepted

• Accepted: Fruit & vegetable scraps, coffee grounds & filters, tea bags, eggshells, bread & grains, yard trimmings (leaves, grass clippings, small prunings), houseplant trimmings, paper towels & napkins (food‑soiled, compostable), uncoated food‑soiled paper products, and compostable bags/liners.
• May require special handling or prior approval: Large logs, root balls, treated wood, or very bulky green waste — contact us with photos for a custom quote.
• Not accepted: Regular plastic bags, diapers, pet waste (feces/litter), grease, cooking oil, hazardous materials, liquids, coated or laminated paper, pressure‑treated wood, and non‑compostable packaging. Refer to local rules for additional restrictions.

Service details & scheduling

• Pricing: flat fee per bin or per pickup (see product page). Subscription/bulk pickup pricing may be available in your area.
• Free curbside pickup when materials are placed at the agreed pickup location and meet preparation rules.
• In‑home removal is available for an additional fee and quoted based on volume and access (stairs, narrow doors, long carries).
• Same‑day/next‑day pickup may be available depending on route capacity and your location.
