Description

Computer Removal & Recycling — Curbside When Powered Off and Unplugged

GoGarbageGrabber removes and recycles desktop and laptop computers with a focus on data privacy and responsible e‑waste processing. We offer free curbside pickup when computers are powered off, unplugged, and placed at the agreed pickup location. If you need devices carried out from inside the home or office, select our in‑home removal add‑on for an additional fee. IMPORTANT: we do not perform data recovery, certified data destruction, internal disassembly, or repair — remove or securely erase storage before pickup.

What’s included

  • Curbside pickup (no extra cost): We collect powered‑off, unplugged computers placed at the agreed curb/driveway location.
  • In‑home removal (optional fee): Our crew will carry unplugged devices out of the property for an added charge — we will not open devices, remove internal drives, or access stored data.
  • Responsible e‑waste processing: Devices are transported to licensed recyclers where metals, plastics, and electronic components are processed according to local regulations.
  • Documentation: Recycling/disposal receipts available on request for business or record‑keeping needs.

How to prepare your computer

  • Back up any data you want to keep and either securely erase or remove internal storage devices (HDD/SSD). For laptops with removable batteries, remove the battery if possible.
  • Perform a factory reset or full disk wipe for devices that will remain intact to protect sensitive information.
  • Power off and unplug the device. Remove external peripherals (monitors, keyboards, mice, external drives) unless you want them recycled too — bag small items together.
  • Pack laptops in a protective sleeve or box if available. Tape desktop case doors shut or pack towers in a box to prevent loose components from shifting.
  • Place prepared devices at the agreed pickup point before the scheduled window.

Accepted & not accepted

  • Accepted: Laptops, desktops/towers, all‑in‑one PCs, small form factor PCs, external hard drives, keyboards/mice (if left with device), and common consumer peripherals.
  • May require prior arrangement: Large servers, rack equipment, battery‑packed devices, or systems with hazardous components — contact us with photos for assessment and a custom quote.
  • Not accepted: Devices contaminated with biological/chemical hazards, items with unknown hazardous substances, or equipment permanently installed/hard‑wired into building systems without prior arrangement. We will not accept devices that contain active pest infestations.

Scheduling & pricing

  • Flat fee per item or bundled pricing options shown on the product page.
  • Free curbside pickup when the device is powered off, unplugged, and placed at the agreed pickup location.
  • In‑home removal available for an additional fee to carry unplugged devices out of the property — select during booking. We do not perform on‑site data services.
  • Same‑day/next‑day pickup may be available depending on your area and route scheduling.

Privacy & safety note: Computers can contain sensitive data. For your protection, remove or securely erase internal storage prior to pickup. Our crews will not inspect or attempt to recover data. If you need certified data destruction, please arrange that service before scheduling removal. If unsure whether your device qualifies, upload a photo during booking or contact our support team for a quick assessment.
